Dr Chris Corney
Well known Brisbane based physician, investor and medical leader, Dr Christopher Corney is a specialist in General Medicine and Senior Lecturer at The University of Queensland, bringing extensive clinical experience and academic expertise to the evolving field of mental healthcare. His work reflects a strong interest in innovative approaches to treating complex mental health conditions and the emerging role of psychedelic medicines in clinical practice.
As CEO of Psychedelic Medicine startup MINDR, Dr Corney is focused on advancing new approaches to mental healthcare, with an emphasis on translating emerging scientific evidence into practical, patient centred clinical applications. His background in medicine and medical education positions him at the intersection of clinical practice, research and healthcare innovation.
With psychedelic-assisted therapies attracting growing international interest, Dr Corney is contributing to the broader conversation around their responsible integration into modern healthcare, including the importance of clinical governance, practitioner expertise, patient safety and evidence-based treatment models.
Co Founder and CEO
Sabba Nazh
Sabba is Co-Founder and CEO of Safar, an agentic care platform for therapists and wellness practitioners. A technology executive with more than 20 years in sales and leadership, he has generated over $500M in career revenue and built distributed teams across London, New York, Hong Kong, and Washington, DC. Sabba served as a zero-to-one go-to-market advisor to psychedelic companies including Wavepaths, MissionClub, and Retreat Microdose. At Safar, he owns strategy, positioning, and product direction, and runs founder-led sales end to end across solo practitioners and multi-practitioner clinics. His work is rooted in a personal discovery: in 2019, psychedelic-assisted therapy revealed the integration gap—the structural blind spot in how practitioners track transformation between sessions. Safar exists to build infrastructure for that work.
Associate Professor Dr Bernadette Fitzgibbon
Bernadette is a neuroscientist with extensive experience researching and translating emerging treatments for mental health and chronic pain. Her work includes the development and clinical investigation of psychedelic therapies, including large multi-site clinical trials, alongside expertise in brain stimulation and other neurotherapeutics.
Bernadette is Director of Psychiatry Research at Paratus Clinical, overseeing clinical trials of emerging psychiatric therapies and working with academic, pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners to translate new treatments into practice. She is also an Associate Professor at the Australian National University and a consultant to The Psychedelic Consultancy.
Associate Professor
Dr Anne Yee
Associate Professor Dr Anne Yee is an academic and Consultant Addiction Psychiatrist at Monash University Malaysia, with clinical appointments in Malaysia. Her work focuses on addiction psychiatry, substance use, tobacco dependence, dual diagnosis and digital interventions.
She is Honorary Secretary of the Addiction Medicine Association of Malaysia and advises the Ministry of Health Malaysia on clinical guidelines, smoking cessation and tobacco control. Dr Yee has published more than 110 peer-reviewed papers and is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences.
Physician - Director of Medicine
Dr Mitchell McKean
Dr Mitchell McKean is a Queensland based physician, investor and medical leader serving as Director of Medicine at Ipswich Hospital and Senior Lecturer at The University of Queensland. A specialist with expertise spanning clinical pharmacology, toxicology and weight management, Dr McKean brings extensive clinical experience and academic expertise to the evaluation of emerging treatments and innovative approaches to healthcare.
Alongside his hospital and university appointments, Dr McKean has experience working in elite sport and has served as a ringside doctor for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
As Chief Medical Officer of MINDR, an emerging mental healthcare startup, Dr McKean provides medical leadership as the company develops its approach to innovative mental health treatments. His expertise in clinical pharmacology and toxicology offers a valuable foundation for understanding emerging therapeutics, evaluating their potential applications and addressing the clinical safety considerations associated with new treatment models.
Dr McKean has a growing interest in psychedelic medicines and their potential role in mental healthcare, an area attracting increasing attention from researchers, clinicians and healthcare innovators internationally.
Forensic Psychiatrist
Dr Julian Dodemaide
Authorised Prescriber and Mental Health specialist, Dr Jules Dodemaide works with Forest Medicine across addiction and mental health care, with a particular interest in emerging approaches to psychedelic-assisted therapy and their potential role in modern psychiatric practice.
Dr Dodermaide is a Consultant Psychiatrist, approved by the TGA as an Authorised Prescriber under the world-first program in psychedelic-assisted therapies. He obtained a Certificate of Psychedelic Therapies from Mind Medicine Australia in 2024, and has enjoyed a career across public and private healthcare focused on special interests in the assessment and rehabilitation of persons with complex mental health challenges, military veterans, medico-legal services, neurostimulation, and emerging therapies.
A medical graduate of the University of Queensland, a Fellow of the Royal Australian and NZ College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), earned a Certificate of Advanced Training in Forensic Psychiatry, and is an inaugural Fellow of the Independent Medical Evaluators College of Australasia.
Dr Dodermaide is passionate about providing high-quality individualised holistic services, and empowering people to heal. His ethos emphasises balance, fairness, approaching challenges together, and building a better tomorrow through the efforts of today.
Professor Paul Fitzgerald
Head of the School of Medicine and Psychology at the Australian National University.
Professor Paul Fitzgerald is the Head of the School of Medicine and Psychology at the Australian National University. He is an academic psychiatrist with a MBBS degree, Masters of Psychological Medicine and research PhD. He has conducted an extensive series of clinical trials and experimental studies developing new treatments for patients with mental health conditions such as depression, schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder, PTSD, autism and Alzheimer’s disease. He has authored over 600 journal articles and several books, been cited nearly 40,000 times, and established the first national psychedelic therapies outcomes registry.
Tony “Jack the Bear” Mantz
Men’s Mental Health Advocate
Tony “Jack the Bear” Mantz is an Australian music industry veteran, mastering engineer and men’s mental health advocate who draws on his lived experience of addiction, trauma and recovery to encourage others to seek change and support.
With a career spanning more than four decades in the music industry, Tony has become an outspoken advocate for men's wellbeing, sharing his personal journey to challenge stigma and encourage honest conversations about mental health.
Following a transformative personal experience with 5-MeO-DMT in 2020, Tony has also spoken publicly about psychedelic medicines and their potential role in addressing trauma and supporting personal change.
Karin Houser
With a BSc. of biotechnology and molecular biology and a hands-on work and leadership in biotech, Karin has been instrumental in bringing Australia’s first cGMP biosynthetic psilocybin into Phase 2 clinical trials and real-world use under the TGA’s Authorised Prescriber Scheme.
